Abstract

|
A case of Cushing´s syndrome in 36 year-old Korean female was presented. The patient was& admitted to our hospital on January 14, 1975 because of obesity, general weakness and easy fatigability.
On physical examination, she was appeared typical Cushing´s syndrome-plethoric moon face,. hirsutism, truncal obesity with purple striae in the lower abdomen and flanks. The diagnosis, .was confirmed by above mentioned clinical manifestations, biochemical and hormonal studies and final patho-histologic examinations.
On. microscopic findings, right side one was appeared adrenocortical carcinoma, and the other side one was appeared a typical adrenocortical adenoma.
Incidence of Cushing´s syndrome due to adrenocortical adenoma with carcinoma of other side is very rare.
The current literatures about Cushing´s syndrome were reviewed and our case was reported.
